Chief Compliance Officer
Lori Stevenson is the team’s Managing Director, Retirement Operations and Chief Compliance Officer. She provides financial, operational and regulatory experience to the team. She serves as a Relationship Manager to the firm’s institutional clientele – providing service, plan design education and conversion support, and compliance assistance to support plan sponsor fiduciary responsibilities. Ms. Stevenson has attained the Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst designation – one of approximately only 400 professionals nationally who hold the AIFA®. In addition, she carries several securities registrations with LPL Financial (Series 4, 6, 7, 24, 53 and 66) and has achieved the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation through the College of Financial Planning and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designation through the National Association of Plan Advisors. She is a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), the Women in Pensions Network (WiPN) and the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA). Ms. Stevenson was named to the 2016 National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA) Top Woman Advisors as a Captain and the 2015 NAPA Inaugural List of Top Women Advisors as an MVP*.
Prior to joining Compass Financial Partners in 2007, she served as a Compliance Analyst with Jefferson Pilot Securities Corporation and Windward Securities Corporation. Originally from Wells, Maine, Ms. Stevenson is a 1995 cum laude graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. An avid runner, she has found great reward in sharing her passion by volunteering as a Coach the past three seasons for the Greensboro Running Club's Women's Running School - a program where walkers and novice runners are coached toward the goal of running the Women's Only 5k. Lori, her husband Michael and their Labrador retrievers Brady & Olive reside in Greensboro.
